 Description of the design:
 The design features “Boy with a Basket of Fruit”, a painting by Caravaggio. At the top, in semi-circle, is the name of the issuing country “CITTA' DEL VATICANO”. At the left is the mint mark “R”. At the bottom is the inscription “CARAVAGGIO” and below that are the years “1571-2021”. At the bottom right are the initials of the designer Chiara Principe, “CP”. The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
