Subject of the commemorative coin:
 Special 2 Euro coin commemorating 90 years of sovereignty of the Vatican City State.

 Description of the design:
 A portrait of Pope Pius XI (Head of State in 1929) and the Square of St. John Lateran in Rome. At the top, from left to right, in semi-circle, is the name of the issuing country “STATO DELLA CITTÀ DEL VATICANO”. At the bottom are the years “1929” and “2019”, and underneath the name of the artist “FUSCO”. The coin’s outer ring features the twelve stars of the European Union.
