 500th Anniversary of the Completion of the First Circular Sailing Voyage

 Description:
 The expedition began in Seville in 1519 and ended in 1522 after the completion of the first circumnavigation of the world. The design consists of two images, namely the globe in the background and a portrait of Juan Sebastián Elcano. Below the portrait are the captions in capital letters “JUAN SEBASTIÁN ELCANO” and “PRIMUS CIRCUMDEDISTI ME” (first to circumnavigate me), and on the shoulder of the portrait are the dates of the beginning and end of the voyage (1519-1522). On the right side is the issuing country in capital letters “ESPAÑA”, next to which is the year of issue “2022”. On the left side is the mint mark. The outer ring of the coin shows the twelve stars of the European flag.
