Subject of the commemorative coin:
 500th anniversary of Primož Trubar's birth

 Description of the design:
 The inner part of the coin features an effigy of Primož Trubar, seen from the left in profile. On the left side, in two semi-circles, are the inscriptions “PRIMOŽ TRUBAR” and “1508-1586”. On the bottom right, in a semi-circle, is the inscription “SLOVENIJA 2008”. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European Union.
