 500th anniversary of the death of Pietro Perugino

 Description of the design:
 The central image of the coin depicts the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus. This is a detail of the painting “Madonna and Child Consoled between John the Baptist and Saint Sebastian” by Perugino, which is housed in the Uffizi Gallery (Florence). On the left are the inscription “PERUGINO”, the dates “1523” and “2023” and the mint mark “R”. On the right is the name of the issuing country “SAN MARINO” and on the bottom right are the initials of the author Maria Angela Cassol, MAC. The outer ring of the coin depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.
