Subject of the commemorative coin:
 the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci

 Description of the design:
 The center of the coin depicts an angel painted by Leonardo da Vinci, a detail of the work “The Baptism of Christ”. Along the inner rim on the left is the inscription “SAN MARINO” and on the right the inscription “1519 Leonardo 2019”. On the left are the initials of the designer Uliana Perazza, “UP”, and on the bottom right is the letter “R”, the mint mark of the Mint of Rome. The twelve stars of the European Union are depicted along the outer rim of the coin.
