 Description:
 The coin features a pilgrim’s cross with humanoid figures of different sizes and textures, together forming a globe. At the bottom, two hands embrace the whole in a welcoming manner, a symbol of the inclusion and universality that this gathering implies. At the top, there are two inscriptions: “JORNADA MUNDIAL DA JUVENTUDE” (Portuguese for World Youth Day) and “LISBOA 2023”. At the bottom, there is the coat of arms of Portugal, the inscription “PORTUGAL”, the mint mark “CASA DA MOEDA” (the name of the Portuguese Mint) and the name of the designer “JOÃO DUARTE”. The coin’s outer ring depicts the twelve stars of the European flag.
