Subject of the commemorative coin:
 50th Anniversary of the Austrian State Treaty

 Description of the design:
 The centre of the coin features a reproduction of the signatures and seals of the Austrian State Treaty, signed in May 1955 by the Foreign Ministers and Ambassadors of the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and France, as well as by Austrian Foreign Minister Leopold Figl. The inscription “50 JAHRE STAATSVERTRAG” appears above the seals, and the year of issue, 2005, appears below. The vertical stripes in the background represent the Austrian national colours (red-white-red). The coin’s outer ring features the 12 stars of the EU.
