Description of the design:
The design shows the Hill of Crosses: parts of wooden and iron crosses as a symbol of Lithuanian cross-making craft and Lithuanian folk culture. The cross-making craft and cross symbolism in Lithuania are included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The coin features the following inscriptions: the name of Lithuania “LIETUVA” and the year of issuance “2020” at the top, “KRYŽIU KALNAS” (the Hill of Crosses) and the mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint at the bottom. The design is by Rytas Jonas Belevicius. The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
