Subject of the commemorative coin:
Lithuanian language

Description of the design:
The design features the word “AČIŪ” (thank you) — one of the most beautiful words in the Lithuanian language. For this design, a Lithuanian font was created based on the Latin font to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the right to print in Lithuanian. The font better represents the combinations of the most commonly used letters in Lithuanian. All the letters of the Lithuanian language are displayed in a kind of letter cloud on the background of the word “AČIŪ”. At the bottom is the name of the issuing country “LIETUVA” and below the name is the year “2015”. At the bottom right, below the word “AČIŪ” is the mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
