Subject of the commemorative coin:
 30 years of EU Flag

 Description of the design:
 The coin features the EU flag, symbolising a union of peoples and cultures sharing a common vision and ideals for a better future. Twelve stars transform into human figures embracing the birth of a new Europe. At the top right, in semi-circle, are the issuing country and the years ‘1985-2015’. At the bottom right are the initials of the designer (Georgios Stamatopoulos). The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
