 Description of the design:
 Bust of the Roman historian Titus Livius, based on a work by Lorenzo Larese Moretti; on the left, the logo of the Italian Republic, ‘RI’, and ‘CM’, the initials of the designer Claudia Momoni; on the right, ‘17’ and ‘2017’, respectively the year of Livius’ death and the year of issue of the coin, as well as the mint mark of the Mint of Rome ‘R’; all around, a circle of dots and the inscription ‘TITO • LIVIO’. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
