 700th Birthday of Giovanni Boccaccio

 Description of the design:
 The design shows the head of Giovanni BOCCACCIO, seen from the right in three-quarter profile, taken from the fresco by Andrea del Castagno made around 1450 (Florence, Galleria degli Uffizi). At the bottom, in a semi-circle, the name and dates BOCCACCIO 1313 2013 and at the right, one below the other, the letters R (monogram of the Roman Mint), RI (monogram of the Italian Republic) and m (monogram of the designer Mauri). The coin's outer ring features the twelve stars of the European flag.
