225th Anniversary of the French Federation Festival

Description of the design:
The French National Day offers all French people the opportunity to celebrate the existence of the Republic together. The design consists of a graphic and modern profile of Marianne as the embodiment of the Republic. She is wearing a Phrygian cap. On the right, the cockade is shown in outline above the letters RF. The year is in the centre of the coin. On the left is a stanza from “Liberté” by the French poet Paul Éluard, as a reference to the motto of the Republic. The mint marks are at the beginning of this stanza. The twelve stars of the European flag are depicted along the outer edge of the coin.
