 Description of the design:
 The coin (designed by Reijo Paavilainen) features a boat with nine rowers, as a symbol of cooperation. The year of issue, 2007, and the year of independence, 1917, are shown above and below the image respectively. The mint mark is to the left of the oars and 'FI' for Finland is to the right. The 12 stars of the European Union are depicted along the outer ring of the coin.
