Subject of the commemorative coin:
 60th anniversary of the United Nations and Finland's 50th anniversary of UN membership

 Description of the design:
 The inner part depicts a dove of peace made up of puzzle pieces. Below the dove, along the edge of the lower half of the inner circle, are the words “FINLAND — UN” on the left and the year of issue on the right. Above this year, close to a puzzle piece, is the letter “K”, the engraver’s initial. The mint mark “M” is located below the image of the dove of peace. The outer ring features the twelve stars of the European Union.
