Isobars, raindrops and snowflakes are depicted to the left of the sun. The year 2013 is inscribed in the upper sun rays and the country designation “BE” in the lower sun rays. The mint master’s mark and the Brussels mint mark, a helmeted head of the archangel Michael, are depicted below the 1 in the number 100. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
